LOS ANGELES - It didn’t take long for Halle Berry to get back in tip-top shape after giving birth to her first child 13 months ago.

But don’t be fooled — regaining her knockout physique at the age of 41 wasn’t easy.

“Having a baby takes so much from you. It’s the most glorious thing you’ll ever do, but the aftermath is not so glorious!” Berry joked in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “So now I’m having to exercise, eat a little bit differently, take a lot more vitamins.”

And while embracing a healthy lifestyle is nothing new for the Oscar winner, she said she has a hard time believing other stars who say they don’t have to work to maintain a svelte figure.

“God bless them if they’re telling the truth. It’s questionable if they are,” she added. “I always had to diet. I’m diabetic, so it’s a lifestyle for me anyway just to stay healthy and not end up in the hospital.”

However, Berry did reveal one guilty pleasure.

“I like Doritos,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I’m usually watching ‘The Biggest Loser’ eating Doritos.”

Since welcoming her daughter, Nahla Ariela Aubry, with partner Gabriel Aubry in March 2008, Berry has taken a step back from her career to focus on her family.

“I used to work a lot because I had nothing better to do. What I’ve learned, especially by having a baby, is that you can’t bring that stuff home anymore,” she explained. “For example, I was alone filming ‘Monster’s Ball.’ I was married to someone else, and he wasn’t really around much. Thank God that was only a 20-day shoot.”

As far as her next film, “Nappily Ever After,” Berry will be required to undergo quite a transformation – she shaves her head on camera — and no makeup or Hollywood magic will be involved.

“I’m scared to death,” she admitted. “I just hope my reaction fits into the story. If it’s uncontrollable screaming, it might be a different type of movie.”
But when it comes to her life away from the camera, Berry said she’s right where she wants to be

“No. I’m done,” she said, when asked if she would ever get married again. “I happened to find a person who feels done too, and he’s never been married before. So it works.”

While marriage is off the cards, are Berry and Aubry done expanding their family? Maybe not.

“My pregnancy was amazing. I was happy that whole time, I felt good. I had energy, I felt like Superwoman,” she continued. “I wish I could feel like that for the rest of my life, that’s how fantastic it was.”
