Shahid is Anushka’s new love interest!

‘Where is Anushka Sharma post Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi,’ was the question that plagued everyone’s mind. The fate of Rab Ne girl vis-à-vis her arch rival Asin also made headlines. But all you anxious souls can take a breather now as we will give you the info you’ve been waiting to hear!

Anushka Sharma who made her debut opposite Shah Rukh in Rab Ne will now be seen in her second film with Yash Raj, this time with Shahid Kapoor.

Our source revealed, “Anushka and Shahid will be paired opposite each other in a Yash Raj film which is to be directed by actor Parmeet Sethi. Parmeet has also roped in stand-up comedian Veer Das and Indian Idol contestant and host Meiyang Chang as lead actors of the film.”

He further added, “The film is not a romantic comedy but a story revolving around four people and how they evolve in life.”

We called up Parmeet but he refused to comment saying, “It’s true that I am planning to make this film but I will speak in depth when I get a go-ahead from the production house (Yash Raj).”

We thus got in touch with Rafiq Gangjee, Vice President Marketing & Communications at Yash Raj to know more. Rafiq revealed, “Yes, Aditya Chopra has given Parmeet’s film a go-ahead, in fact it’s the only film which was approved by Aditya while he was busy with Rab Ne’s shoot. Shahid and Anushka will be a part of this film.”

With Shahid doing an array of different roles, we are quite looking forward to this film which has been already tagged as an ‘unconventional film’ by people closely working on it.

Preity Zinta slams media

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has slammed media, saying she would take action against them, if they don’t stop publishing rumors against her.

Preity is up in arms over her “break up” stories with boyfriend Ness, printed in a Mumbai Newspaper.

Preitylashed media for spreading rumors, writing in her blog at itimes "It’s ridiculous how media sits and writes anything they feel like without even the decency and the journalistic norm of contacting all parties - well in advance - for their side of the story."

Not only this, the actress has alleged that the journalist who wrote the story contacted to get her views only once the story was published in the newspaper. Preity says, she would take strong action against any false rumours or stories.

The actress clarifies in her blog post "I don’t like discussing this so publicly, but the point here is, I want to clarify what is right and wrong. People cannot write anything wrong about someone and get away with it."

Is Shahid making Priyanka ill?

Priyanka hadn't even dumped Harman Baweja, but as Shahid had a more promising career than his, she latched on to Shahid. It was during Shahid's birthday party where the trouble started. Priyanka was enjoying her vodka shots, and Shahid, a staunch follower of Radhasoami, disapproved of it. They had a tiff, and mind you, this was just the beginning.”

Our source added, “The couple then constantly bickered over Priyanka's partying as Shahid, as opposed to her, is an introvert. Then they had a major showdown one evening when Priyanka had a few drinks again. Their fight turned so ugly that it affected the already stressed Priyanka. She fainted on the sets of her film and had to be admitted to the hospital.”

Priyanka's father, Dr Ashok Chopra laughed it off and said, “This is hardly true. Priyanka is perfectly fine now and is back to shooting.”

The source further said, "Priyanka Chopra has only signed YRF's film with Uday Chopra in recent times. Her hits have not transferred to work with major banners. Her next release after Kaminey is with Harman Baweja who unfortunately is yet to make his mark and that's the reason, she does not want to break off her new relationship with Shahid."

Shahid Kapur Anushka Sharma Pairing

Anushka Sharma started her career as a young girl romancing the much older Shah Rukh Khan. And South actress Asin who debuted at the same time opposite Aamir Khan walked away with most of the limelight.

But the girl is actually all set to bounce back and this time with someone who's closer to her age -Shahid Kapur. And yes, she's working with her mentors- Yash Raj films all over again.

The buzz is that Anushka and Shahid will be paired opposite each other in a film to be directed by actor Parmeet Sethi who worked with Yash Raj years before in the hit 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'. Apparently Aditya Chopra approved of the idea while shooting for 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'.

According to reports Parmeet has also roped in stand-up comedian Veer Das and Indian Idol contestant and host Meiyang Chang as lead actors of the film which will tell the story of four people and how they evolve in life.

Parmeet wasn't too forthcoming and just revealed: "It's true that I am planning to make this film but I will speak in depth when I get a go-ahead from the production house (Yash Raj)."

Maybe he's being superstitious about things and thinks that revealing will make it difficult for the film. Yash Raj too propagates such a strategy.

The movie has already been tagged as an 'unconventional film'. Well, that's a cliché statement. We'll only know when the film finally releases!

Minissha Lamba loves Men in Uniform

The very pretty Minissha Lamba was recently invited by the Navy to attend their awards ceremony which was held at the Navy Nagar in Colaba.

We hear that the actress was fascinated by the men in uniforms! Sources say that Minissha really enjoyed herself, made a lot of friends and was in awe of the heroes of the sea.

Apparently this was the first time ever she interacted with the naval force and was completely blown away! The actress has a lot of respect for the officers and was in high spirits throughout the night.
